I am a fan of classic and historic things. The Den is a coffee shop that can be found at the First United Building in Escolta which is a place full of historical events. I have not tried their product but I look forward to have a cup once I visit Manila again. photo CTTO
Within HUB: Make Lab in the First United Building (Escolta Street), The Den serves java from local brand Kalsada Coffee. The photo-worthy industrial-style nook is a quiet spot to rewind after perusing through the knick-knacks at the bazaar. Notice the cool furniture—it was made just for the cafe by Fabbrica Manila!

Kuppa Roastery & Cafe
I worked in Bonifacio Global City for more than a decade, and Kuppa is just across my office building. I love their Crispy Pata, which is quite ironic because I’m not a fan of that dish. For some reason, their version of the Crispy Pata is special. Aside from the classic liver sauce and vinegar-soy sauce combo, they also serve it with apple chutney.
