Empire State of Mind

New York City, Yonkers

There’s a reason why NYC is my favorite city in the world - bustlin’ streets, eclectic people, and just a melting pot of cultures.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza

New York City, United States • Recommendation •

Eating pizza is a MUST in this city. It’s literally a pizza mecca. And although there’s a ton of places to choose from, my vote would definitely have to go to Artichoke. 🙌🏼 They have your usual flavors but just go for Artichoke. Personally, it tastes like a rich white sauce pasta dish in pizza form. 🤤

The Met Cloisters

Yonkers, United States • Recommendation •

The Cloisters is the branch of the MET dedicated to the art, architecture, and gardens of Medieval Europe. It’s like stepping into the past when you’re here! There are also some areas of the museum that make you feel like you’re in a Harry Potter film or in Game of Thrones 😉 Museum aside, the views from here up here are stunning! You can see a bit of Manhattan before you enter, but it’s the views of the Hudson River that’ll take your breathe away. It was extra pretty in the fall ❤️

This is HEAVEN for book lovers! Not kidding, I think I spent 3 hours just skimming titles that one day. 😂I mean ... it is 18 miles of books. Old or new, ask away because they probably have it. Also, just a tip, make sure to visit and explore the third floor where they keep all the rare titles. I remember seeing a $1000 Sherlock Holmes OG edition there 😱

Out of all the coffee shops I’ve tried there, this one is definitely my favorite. Their columbian coffee is absolutely superb! 💥 Annnnnd, apparently, this is the only farm-to-table coffee roaster in the world. 🤭

An absolute must-try at the Chelsea Market, and probably New York 🙌🏼 Don’t let the line discourage you though because it moves pretty fast.

If you ever find yourself in Jacksonville Queens, definitely give this hidden gem a shot. The tiny restaurant (hidden in a cellphone store!) serves delicious, hearty Tibetan food. I highly recommend their momos (south asian dumpling) and spicy soup 😋

Hands-down, one of my favorite places to eat in NYC. Probably in the top 5. 🙌🏼 This small take-away place has a very straightforward menu and everything is under $10! Bargain! Also, trust me and get the roasted chicken, pork, and duck combo over rice ..... I’m drooling just thinking about it 🤤

Very touristy, but we absolutely love this place. Great views of the city and a good place to talk and people watch. 😊 If you want to walk the whole park I suggest you start at 34th street, and end at Chelsea Market for some grub! 👍🏽

If you’re into contemporary art, this is the place to be! Love the minimalist vibe, and there were definitely lots of interesting collections when I came to visit. Also, the top floors have great views of lower Manhattan. 👏🏽
