Hidden away down Soi Polo you wouldn’t think this cafe attached to a spa is anything special, but they serve weekend American breakfast dishes it’s hard to find elsewhere in BKK including good pancakes and a solid chicken and waffles. Friendly service including from the neighborhood cat.

Very spacious and chill place for brunch. Their menu is excessively long but you can’t really go wrong. Save room for dessert from the cake selection. I like the table by the entrance with a swinging chair.

Sure you can sit inside but the best place is in the beautiful shaded garden which is unique for Bangkok. There’s even a small river with swans you can watch while eating your brunch. You may also spot rabbits and peacocks! Call ahead because they often close at weekends for private functions.

Roast is a brunch staple in Bangkok. They bake their own bread and have a great selection of brunch dishes and coffee. If there is room for dessert I recommend the s’mores custard cake! As well as this branch at the commons, there’s another popular branch at Emquartier.

As the blackboard on the wall says stressed is desserts spelled backwards. There are plenty of Weston comfort food brunch options like eggs biscuits sausage and bacon. Their speciality though is hot chocolate. If only it were ever cold enough in Bangkok to really need hot chocolate!

3One of Bangkoks fanciest brunches! From 11.30 to 3pm on Sundays there's a big buffet in the central courtyard with seafood, Western, Chinese, Japanese and Indian dishes. You can also order freshly cooked items. All the ingredients seem very high quality, and because the seating is broken up into various areas in different restaurants, the ambience is quite quiet and relaxing with a chilled live band. It's pricey but worth it for a special occasion: 3000 for food and non alcohol, add another 1100 for free flow champagne, cocktails and craft beer. 15% discount if you prebook. Ginger mojito is very good!

I have no idea how Bella Rocca keeps in business as they have a large restaurant in a prime spot on the top of Emquartier but seemingly very few customers. Enjoy the quietness and have some well made Italian food while admiring the view from the 8th floor windows.

2My wife who is from Mississippi introduced me to the joys of American style breakfast biscuits, but they are hard to find outside if the States! In addition to burgers (vaguely reminiscent of in and out) this little diner towards Sathorn does a good line in sausage and egg biscuits. The menu (and the venue) is small but everything was tasty. Try a vanilla milkshake.

2The pandemic does not appear to have deterred everybody and their uncle from opening up a Instagram friendly café in trendy Thonglor. Many of these cafés are a case of style over substance, however I was pleasantly surprised by this light filled café in the back streets of Soi 55. The food options are well presented and substantial, coffee is strong and there are a selection of good mocktails. And of course you can still get your Instagram shoot in.
