Generator is an economical alternative for solo travelers and budget jet-setters with its array of dormitory beds and private rooms. (Book the latter to get a little bit more solitude!) Standing on a former grain warehouse, the “poshtel” (posh hostel) was converted to its current industrial design finished with beamed ceilings and exposed brick walls. Nestled in the middle of Giudecca Island, Generator spoils you with gorgeous sights of the city center. On warm nights, join your fellow hostel-mates on the waterfront, which becomes an extension of the lobby. Watch out for regular movie nights, karaoke sessions, and DJ sets!

Wanting to be immersed into creativity, nature, rest and more "soul-searching", This is definitely one of the best places to visit! In this safe place, you don't need to be afraid doing things solo. 😉

Vessel Hostel is one of favorite places to stay in La Union. Me and some friends stayed here for the weekend on our girls trip to La Union. We wanted to feel like backpackers and vessel hostel definitely gives you that experience. We shared a room with one other hostel guest and made some friends. The hostel gives you enough privacy as a lone traveler but the opportunity to get to know other travelers in their save environment. Their hostel was kept exceptionally clean and safe. We loved starting our mornings with their military breakfast and beautiful views of the beach from the upstairs patio. The atmosphere of the hostel made you want to run away from city life and check in for a whole month just to learn how to surf.
