I'll just pretend I'm not coming here because of Notting Hill 😂

Portobello Road, London, United Kingdom

What you’ll see in Portobello Market depends on which day you visit. Mondays through Thursdays feature fashion, food, and random bric-a-brac. Fridays get more hectic as more stalls set up, and antiquities enter the fair. Sundays are always in full swing, proving its claim as the world’s largest antique market. Arrive before 11:00AM to get dibs on ultimate steals, and find out the secrets of haggling from the well-versed regulars!

The film starts at Portobello Market, a vibrant street bazaar, where vendors and locals cross paths as they shop for fresh produce during weekdays. On weekends, the area transforms into a vast heirloom haven selling, as Will warns, “millions of antiques—some genuine and some… not so genuine.” Scour through thousands of stalls, which also peddle fashion items, second-hand goods, and fresh food. Be wary of your valuables, though—this London institution attracts pickpockets looking for a different kind of steal!

Most people bring clothes, shoes, bags, and fashion back from Italy. Dom and I bring back food. Shameless amounts of it. Truffles, dried pastas, olive oils and aged balsamic vinegar... and pack them in boxes 📦 and newspaper 🗞 courtesy of the hotel concierge. Overweight luggage is a real concern with all that balsamic vinegar and olive oils 😅 If you head over, go on an empty stomach. There’s plenty to eat, lots of little stalls, and your mouth will be kept pretty busy with the constant gobbling.

One of the biggest outdoor markets in Hong Kong, Stanley Market is as much of a tourist attraction as it is a place to quench your hoarding habits. You can find almost anything here—from the essentials to the frivolous to the insane. (Triple-fused pentaminx 17x17x17 Rubik’s cubes, anyone?) Not everything is second-hand, but some items are recycled while some are handmade. The prices start off low, so there’s no need to play limbo. The area is a hotspot for pickpockets, though, so be careful!

One of the city's longest-standing traditional markets. You can get a dosirak (lunchbox) then just fill it up with food from the different stalls, paid using old brass coins. Everything was delicious.
